1) How much of my time will ZTA take?
Each Sunday at 8:00pm, our chapter meets as a whole to discuss important items. These meetings usually last about forty-five minutes, and afterwards, you are free to go. However, if you serve as a member on the Programming or Executive Councils, you will be required to attend your respective meetings at 6:00pm and 6:45pm. In addition, we have weekly sisterhoods in which we meet and spend quality time together. Although we require that you attend a certain amount of sisterhoods and events, we want your education, grades, and GPA to be your focus while in school.
2) How do we go about paying dues for ZTA?
Although we have not yet received our exact numbers for how much dues will be this semester, potential new members will learn more about to costs during formal recruitment (these dates are on our calendar). We use a billing system called BillHighway, which allows you to pay online either in whole or with monthly payments.
3) What kinds of opportunities does ZTA give its members?
Although many people have typical stereotypes about Greek Life, ZTA is far from what you see on television shows, in movies, and in the news. Our main focuses include working hard for our education and doing the most that we can to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness and Education. We allow opportunities for young women to become more involved in their communities. We want them to not only learn about but to really experience the act of giving back to the community and helping others. This upcoming year, we plan on participating in atleast one community service project each month, whether it be the SPCA, the Golden Harvest Food Bank, Area Churches Together Serving, etc.
